The IT Manager is responsible for leading and managing the implementation, development, and maintenance of technology systems that support the organization's operational and strategic needs. This role oversees IT infrastructure, telecommunications, systems development, cybersecurity practices, and technology-related projects while ensuring business continuity, system reliability, and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure data backup, security, availability, and disaster recovery.
- Evaluate technology needs across the organization and recommend effective solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate proposals related to telecommunications, software, hardware, and IT services.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of information systems and telecommunications platforms.
- Lead technology infrastructure and system implementation projects with internal teams and external providers.
- Define and maintain telecommunications, hardware, and software platforms to ensure connectivity and operational efficiency.
- Present technology initiatives, progress updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
- Plan, administer, and optimize departmental budgets and technology resources.
- Establish preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for IT infrastructure and systems.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise IT staff and external contractors as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned based on operational needs.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in information technology management or a similar leadership role.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and telecommunications.
- Experience managing technology projects and system implementations.
- Familiarity with modern information technologies and enterprise systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows environments.
- Understanding of messaging and internal communication platforms.
