Upsun is hiring a Senior IT Systems Engineer for our fully remote, global team. You will shape and improve identity and device management across our SaaS environment, Google Workspace, and core IT infrastructure.

The role emphasizes security, automation, and proactive ownership, with a focus on ISO/SOC2-aligned controls and scalable processes. You will lead cross-team initiatives, mentor peers, and drive continuous improvements while balancing reliability and employee experience in a remote

Qualifications

• Broad IT engineering experience across identity, collaboration tools, endpoint management, and SaaS administration.
• Depth in at least one core area: Okta, Google Workspace, or JumpCloud, with ability to work across others.
• Device management deployment experience and security policy configurations.
• Automation and scripting using workflows, APIs, Python, or similar.
• Track record of identifying gaps and delivering practical improvements.
• Proactive ownership and independent problem solving in a remote setting.
• Security/compliance awareness with access reviews and policy enforcement.
• Clear communication in a fully remote, global team.
• Typically six+ years in IT engineering or related roles.

Responsabilités

• Identity platform improvements with Okta at the core, including SSO, provisioning, MFA, policies, and emergency access.
• Lead administration and improvement of Google Workspace (users, groups, Gmail, Drive, shared drives, security).
• Oversee device management rollout with JumpCloud across macOS, Windows, and Linux; define configurations and deployment.
• Design onboarding, role changes, and offboarding processes using Okta Workflows, n8n, Python, and APIs.
• Identify gaps in current systems and drive practical, verifiable improvements.
• Administer internal SaaS tools and establish clear setup, integration, and access review practices.
• Collaborate with Security and Risk teams to implement controls and support audits.
• Lead projects from scoping to rollout, document learnings, and mentor colleagues.
