Job summary

Belcan is seeking a seasoned QA Analyst to champion quality across the full SDLC and collaborate with project teams to resolve defects early and often. The role covers manual and automated testing, test data creation, and defect triage, with a chance to shape our QA approach as AI is integrated to improve efficiency and coverage.

Project scope includes run-the-business activities for Client and Broker portals, requiring strong communication, analytical thinking, and experience with data testing

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in quality assurance with QA/BA background.
• Solid understanding of STLC, test design (black/grey-box).
• Experience with UI, backend/batch, and ETL testing.
• Ability to write/run SQL queries to support data work.
• Experience managing test environments and data across multiple envs.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own QA activities across SDLC for IT development and deliverables.

Job Description: The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst champions quality across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), partnering with project teams to find and resolve defects early and often. The role owns QA activities for IT development and deliverables, including manual and automated testing, test data creation, and defect triage. On smaller projects, the QA Analyst also helps gather requirements.

We're looking for someone who brings fresh ideas and proven best practices from past roles, especially in using AI to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and overall quality. The ideal candidate will help shape and modernize our QA approach as we continue to evolve our testing capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a background in quality assurance and business analysis
• Solid understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) activities, test architecture fundamentals, and black-box and grey-box test design principles
• Knowledge of manual and automated testing for UI, back-end/batch, and data conversion/ETL
• Working knowledge of databases, with the ability to write, run, and interpret SQL queries to support data development and research
• Experience managing test environments and test data across multiple environments
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with test automation and performance testing tools
• Experience in AI tools for creating test cases and data
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects at once
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills, plus strong presentation and documentation
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate across a diverse, fast-moving environment
• Experience with Jira, Confluence (or similar), and Microsoft Office applications
