Job summary

I3 INFOTEK INC seeks a seasoned Quality Assurance Analyst to champion quality across the SDLC. You will lead manual and automated testing, develop test data, and triage defects while partnering with project teams to drive early defect resolution. On smaller projects, you may assist with requirements gathering and validation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in QA or similar role with QA and business analysis background.
• Solid understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and test design principles.
• Experience with manual and automated testing for UI, backend/batch, and data ETL.
• Ability to write and interpret SQL queries to support data development and research.
• Experience managing test environments and test data across multiple environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience with test automation and performance testing tools.
• Experience with AI tools for creating test cases and data.

Job description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst champions quality across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), partnering with project teams to find and resolve defects early and often. The role owns QA activities for IT development and deliverables, including manual and automated testing, test data creation, and defect triage. On smaller projects, the QA Analyst also helps gather requirements.

We're looking for someone who brings fresh ideas and proven best practices from past roles, especially in using AI to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and overall quality. The ideal candidate will help shape and modernize our QA approach as we continue to evolve our testing capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a background in quality assurance and business analysis
• Solid understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) activities, test architecture fundamentals, and black-box and grey-box test design principles
• Knowledge of manual and automated testing for UI, back-end/batch, and data conversion/ETL
• Working knowledge of databases, with the ability to write, run, and interpret SQL queries to support data development and research
• Experience managing test environments and test data across multiple environments
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with test automation and performance testing tools
• Experience in AI tools for creating test cases and data
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects at once
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills, plus strong presentation and documentation skills
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate across a diverse, fast-moving environment
• Experience with Jira, Confluence (or similar), and Microsoft Office applications
