Job summary

Harbor Group is seeking a Summer 2027 IT Intern in Norfolk, VA to gain hands-on experience across software/hardware support, data gathering, and IT project tasks. You will work with IT Analysts and Engineering teams on real projects, focusing on coding, testing, and debugging, while developing professional skills in communication and reliability.

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year degree program and entering junior or senior standing at the start of the internship.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
10-week commitment (June through August).
Willing to travel for Kick-Off and Capstone events.
Computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide software/hardware support by troubleshooting issues, assisting end-users, and improving processes.
Collaborate with IT Analysts to gather and document requirements, analyze data, and contribute to project plans.
Assist Engineering teams with coding, testing, and/or debugging tasks for ongoing projects.
Support IT project management initiatives, ensuring tasks are on schedule and deliverables meet business needs.
Learn and apply tools, frameworks, and systems used in IT operations.
Contribute to process improvement efforts and provide creative IT solutions.
