Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking an IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to deploy and support enterprise-wide systems across offices, manufacturing, and distribution centers.

You will provide end-user support and partner with Worldwide Service Desk initiatives in a global environment. The role offers on-site work at Fernley, NV, with hands-on desktop, hardware, and software support; you will work with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, and a variety of devices.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; 2-year technical degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience in an enterprise help desk setting preferred.
• Knowledge of modern computer hardware, wired/wireless networking, handheld scanners, IP phones, printers, peripherals.
• Knowledge of Windows 10/11 and macOS.
• Experience configuring/maintaining laptops/desktops in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and with remote peers.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Manual dexterity and ability to lift >40 pounds.
• Work in warehouse, office, and manufacturing environments.
• Not eligible for sponsorship.

Position Overview

The IT Infrastructure Support Specialist deploys and supports the systems and technologies used by employees across corporate offices, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers in a global enterprise environment. You will provide responsive end-user support while helping maintain reliable devices, applications, accounts, and workplace technology. The role also serves as a local hands‑on resource for corporate tier 3 IT teams and supports Worldwide Service Desk initiatives. This position offers broad exposure to enterprise infrastructure across office, warehouse, manufacturing, and distribution environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize daily work based on outstanding Worldwide Service Desk issues.
• Record tickets and track time in ServiceNow, the IT service management solution.
• Provide rapid-response technology support for users at distribution centers, corporate offices, and manufacturing facilities.
• Support laptops, desktops, handheld barcode scanners, custom workstations, label printers, and other proprietary technology.
• Support Windows-based operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other commercial and internally developed software packages.
• Administer Active Directory and Microsoft 365 user and end‑user system objects.
• Provide local hands‑on support to corporate tier 3 IT teams, including problem reporting and resolution across supported locations.
• Maintain ongoing computer refreshes and equipment setups.
• Create documentation, standard work, and knowledge base articles.
• Serve as a local resource for Worldwide Service Desk projects.
• Participate in after‑hours on‑call support as required.
