Job summary

Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Manager of Information Technology to oversee the network operations of the IT department. You will lead a team, develop technology strategies, ensure network security, and align initiatives with organizational goals at our corporate headquarters.

This on-site role requires a proven track record in IT leadership, LAN/WAN design, virtualization (VMware, Citrix), and managing enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience with IT certifications.
• Five to ten years of IT network management or system administration experience.
• Five or more years in a leadership or managerial IT role.
• Strong LAN/WAN design, configuration, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the IT team with direction and mentoring.
• Develop and implement IT policies and security practices.
• Oversee planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
• Manage LAN/WAN, servers, SANs, and virtualization (VMware, Citrix).
• Ensure system integrity, performance, recoverability, and security.
• Support Active Directory, MS Server products, Exchange, IIS, SQL, and enterprise apps.
• Coordinate hardware/software maintenance, upgrades, or replacements.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and test regularly.
• Monitor network resources and performance; assess vendors.
