Job summary

Comtech LLC in Bethesda, MD, seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee critical systems and networks for a federal client. You will lead a team of engineers, ensure operational efficiency, and implement security and scalability best practices.

Responsibilities include managing data centers, VMware/Nutanix environments, cloud services, and network storage; mentoring staff; and collaborating with IT security on vulnerability management and compliance with FISMA and NIST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Masters preferred.
• 10+ years in IT with 5+ years in IT infrastructure operations.
• Expertise in virtual environments, network management, and scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python).

Responsibilities

• Manage IT infrastructure operations including data centers, virtual env., cloud services, and network storage.
• Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers.
• Optimize system performance through monitoring, resource utilization, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with federal security standards (FISMA, NIST).
• Respond to infrastructure incidents and collaborate with IT security on vulnerabilities.
