Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Network & Systems Security Analyst to design, implement, and support our network and security infrastructure. You will ensure secure configurations, maintain regulatory compliance, and support disaster recovery across on-premises and cloud environments.

The role requires experience with firewalls, WAFs, NetScaler load balancers, VPNs, and DNS/DHCP, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills. On-site at Bearss Operations Center, Florida.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent IT discipline.
• Minimum four (4) years of related hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Windows, VMware, firewall support, DDoS protection, proxies, WAFs, NetScaler load balancers, or Cisco networking.
• Experience with regulatory standards such as NERC CIP, SOX, and PCI is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement network/server/storage infrastructure based on project requirements.
• Troubleshoot using OSI model; escalate as needed.
• Install and support network/server/storage hardware and software.
• Support disaster recovery planning and testing activities.
• Provide security consulting across multiple platforms (firewalls, proxies, WAFs, NAC, DNS, VPN).
• Lead and mentor junior analysts on security operations, monitoring, and incident response.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, changes, and DR plans.
