Job summary

Revel IT is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to lead planning, implementation, and support of infrastructure solutions from concept to deployment in Greenville, SC. The role oversees complex projects, cloud-based platforms, servers, storage, and security to meet client standards.

You will drive proof-of-concept evaluations, ensure high availability, and collaborate with global teams while mentoring junior engineers. Expect occasional after-hours work and tight timelines.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Information Technology OR AA/AS with 2 years of professional experience OR 4 years of equivalent IT experience.
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, specializing in cloud services, storage, or enterprise IT systems.
• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and security.
• 3+ years of IT project management experience.
• 3+ years of strong communication skills in IT environments.
• 3+ years of junior leadership experience managing IT projects.
• Experience with IT applications, tools, and technology to enhance operational efficiency.
• 3+ years of agile methodology principles in IT infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for IT infrastructure systems, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure components like servers and storage.
• Collaborate with external providers for deployment and support of IT infrastructure services.
• Ensure high availability with redundancy, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Optimize performance via monitoring, capacity planning, and proactive issue resolution.
• Enforce security policies and audit requirements; support regulatory standards.
• Manage ITIL processes to ensure service stability and efficiency.
• Document infrastructure design, configurations, and best practices.
• Support lifecycle management including upgrades and decommissioning.
• Collaborate with global IT teams to standardize processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Research emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Communicate strategies to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Lead complex projects to on-time, on-budget completion.
