Job summary

VanEck invites applications for an IT Infrastructure Summer Intern based in New York, NY. The 10-week program runs June 7–August 13 and offers exposure across the firm through education, mentorship, and networking events. You will support IT Service Desk operations, assist with devices, VDI, Zoom tools, and contribute to AI-assisted workflows.

You will learn through hands-on tasks, interact with senior management, and gain insight into financial services technology and daily IT processes.

Qualifications

• Interest in IT infrastructure and cloud networking in a professional setting.
• Interest or curiosity in automation, scripting, or AI-assisted tools.
• Passion for capital markets and financial services technology.

Responsibilities

• Image, configure, and deploy devices for onboarding and projects.
• Assist with Azure Virtual Desktop (VDI) support and user setup.
• Serve as primary IT support resource for the intern class.
• Test and provide feedback on internal Service Desk tooling and automation.
• Work with AI-assisted support workflows to resolve tickets.
• Provide Zoom-based meeting support and maintain Zoom Rooms.
• Support device lifecycle tasks and onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Contribute to IT documentation and knowledge bases.
• Assist with general user support under supervision.
