Job summary

Xcelligen Inc. seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise server and virtualization infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems, including Unified Communications.

This role emphasizes Cisco UCS, VMware, and hybrid cloud with Azure, coordinating closely with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure decisions with business objectives. You will lead large-scale projects, ensure high availability, implement backup and disaster recovery

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure engineering with hands-on Cisco UCS and Fabric Interconnects.
• Strong working knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN).
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure (VMs, Storage Accounts, ACI).
• Familiarity with NetApp storage platforms (ONTAP, AFF series, Active IQ) and FlexPod architecture.
• Experience supporting Unified Communications platforms (Cisco CUCM, Unity, UCCX/PCCE).
• Proficiency with enterprise monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, ServiceNow).
• Proven ability to lead multi-site or nationwide infrastructure modernization projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco UCS infrastructure for on-premise environments.
• Architect and support hybrid environments integrating Azure with on-prem infrastructure.
• Lead large-scale infrastructure modernization projects and datacenter migrations.
• Configure and optimize VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN).
• Support enterprise Unified Communications systems (CUCM, Unity, UCCX).
• Develop and enforce build standards, templates, and deployment docs.
• Mentor team members and coordinate cross-team efforts.
