Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure engineering with hands-on Cisco UCS and Fabric Interconnects.
• Strong working knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN).
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure (VMs, Storage Accounts, ACI).
• Familiarity with NetApp storage platforms (ONTAP, AFF series, Active IQ) and FlexPod architecture.
• Experience supporting Unified Communications platforms (Cisco CUCM, Unity, UCCX/PCCE).
• Proficiency with enterprise monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, ServiceNow).
• Proven ability to lead multi-site or nationwide infrastructure modernization projects.

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise server and virtualization infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems, including Unified Communications platforms. This role combines deep hands-on expertise in Cisco UCS compute environments with VMware virtualization and hybrid cloud integration and requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure decisions with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises Cisco UCS (B-Series, C-Series, and X-Series) infrastructure managed through Intersight, UCS Manager, and UCS Central.
• Architect and support hybrid environments integrating Azure cloud services (Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, ACI) with on-prem infrastructure.
• Lead large-scale infrastructure projects, including server migrations, datacenter relocations, firmware/ESXi upgrades, hardware lifecycle refreshes, and decommissioning.
• Configure and optimize VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, vRealize Automation/Aria) for high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for server infrastructure supporting enterprise Unified Communications systems (e.g., CUCM, Unity, UCCX, PCCE).
• Develop and enforce enterprise-wide build standards, configuration templates, and deployment documentation.
• Design and implement backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery solutions across large server fleets (e.g., SFTP backup solutions, storage redesigns).
• Improve infrastructure visibility and cost efficiency through tools such as Intersight, Active IQ, SolarWinds, and Splunk.
• Mentor team members and support cross-team coordination through regular meetings and clear technical communication.
• Manage vendor and hardware relationships across FlexPod (Cisco + NetApp), Cisco MDS, and Cisco Nexus 9K environments.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure engineering, with hands-on expertise in Cisco UCS (B/C/X-Series) and Fabric Interconnects.
