Job summary

Summit Staffing Partners in Norwalk, CT is seeking a hands-on IT Infrastructure System Engineer to manage and support all IT infrastructure components. This hybrid, full-time role requires expertise across Windows systems, cloud services, networking, security, and end-user support.

You will administer Microsoft 365 and Intune, support device management, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and help advance the firm’s cloud initiatives while collaborating with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of experience in systems administration or related hands-on technology role.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows environments, servers, networking, endpoint technologies, firewalls, cloud platforms, and IT security.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work across multiple IT disciplines in a small, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day IT operations across Windows systems, servers, networking, cloud services, and security tools.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Intune; assist with device management and user access.
• Provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, connectivity, and end-user systems.
• Monitor and maintain Windows desktop and server environments; address performance and access issues.
• Support network infrastructure, including firewalls and connectivity.
• Assist evolution of cloud environment and adoption of additional cloud technologies.
• Contribute to infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and IT projects.
• Collaborate with vendors/MSPs to resolve issues and support ongoing projects.
• Strengthen security posture with tools and controls.
• Investigate root causes and drive resolution; maintain documentation.
• Support broad range of systems administration and gradually take on more responsibility.
