Job summary

Spheros Environmental is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to resolve advanced ticket escalations, support networking across locations, and manage endpoint and email security stacks. The role emphasizes a customer-service approach to every staff interaction.

Key technologies include Entra, Intune, Veeam, VMware vCenter, Windows Server, Azure Files, Cloudflare One, Unifi and Cisco switches. Hybrid work in Denver or Petaluma is available.

Qualifications

• Deliver excellent support with a customer-first approach to ticket ownership, communication, and follow-through.
• Administer SentinelOne and KnowBe4 Defend.
• Support Cisco switching in datacenter and Unifi stack in small offices.
• Perform incident response, threat hunting and remediation, and phishing investigations.
• Improve Help Desk efficiency by documenting procedures, writing KB guides, and identifying automation opportunities.
• Support general IT infrastructure both on-prem and in Azure.

Brief Description IT Infrastructure Engineer Location: Hybrid (Denver, CO or Petaluma, CA)

Compensation: $120,000-$145,000 annually (negotiable based on experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to focus on three core areas: resolving advanced ticket escalations, supporting networking across our locations, and managing our endpoint and email security stack. This role is reserved for someone who brings a customer-service-oriented approach to every staff interaction.

Primarily, this role will handle Tier 2 / Tier 3 issues involving Windows endpoints, identity, file access, on-prem servers, and Azure services. Key technologies include Entra, Intune, Veeam, VMware vCenter, Windows Server, and Azure Files.

As a secondary focus, the Engineer will support networking in our datacenter and small offices nationwide. Key technologies include Cloudflare One and both Unifi and Cisco switches and gateways.

Additionally, the Admin will manage our SentinelOne and KnowBe4 Defend tools as well as liaise with our SOC vendor Deep Seas.

Key Qualifications

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive IT support, systems administration, endpoint management, and infrastructure experience in a Microsoft 365 environment.
• Must have: Good writing and documentation skills.
• Must have: Fluency in SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and KnowBe4 Defend.
• Must have: Proven track record of Cisco administration.
• Must have: Working knowledge of Cloudflare WARP / Zero Trust concepts, Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vCenter, Veeam, Azure Files, and Microsoft 365.
• Nice to have: Basic Linux system administration experience.
• Nice to have: History of AWS EC2 and Elastic deployment projects.
• Nice to have: Working knowledge of Jira or similar tools.
