Job description

About OpenArt

OpenArt is an AI storytelling and visual creation platform used by millions of creators worldwide. We're building the next generation of creative tools powered by cutting-edge AI — enabling anyone to create videos, visuals, characters, and stories with unprecedented speed and imagination.

We believe the future of creativity is AI-native, and we're shaping that future.

Why Join OpenArt
  • Brand-new function, real mandate — enterprise and team customers are one of our biggest growth levers, and most of the infrastructure behind them hasn't been built yet. You'll be the first engineer on it.
  • Small team, massive surface area — senior engineers own whole systems, not slices.
  • Real scale, real stakes — OpenArt serves millions of creators, and enterprise deals will close (or not) on what you ship.
  • Founder-led engineering culture — both founders are technical and deeply involved in product and architecture.
  • AI-native product — you'll decide how cutting-edge models get packaged, governed, and sold to teams and enterprises.
  • High ownership, low process — we value judgment, clarity, and speed over bureaucracy.
About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT & Information Security Manager to oversee our corporate IT operations and protect the company's critical digital assets. You will manage our macOS and Google Workspace environment, strengthen access controls and security monitoring, investigate unusual activity, and support employees' day-to-day IT needs.

This is a hands-on role that combines IT operations with information security. The ideal candidate is practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing strong security controls with a seamless employee experience.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the company's IT infrastructure and information security program, with a primary focus on macOS devices, Google Workspace, SaaS platforms, and cloud services.
  • Maintain an inventory of critical digital assets and implement appropriate access controls, security policies, and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Monitor and investigate unusual activities, including suspicious logins, excessive downloads, bulk data exports, unauthorized access, and external file sharing.
  • Manage employee accounts, devices, and access permissions throughout the full lifecycle, including onboarding, role changes, periodic access reviews, and offboarding.
  • Administer and secure Mac devices and Google Workspace, including MDM, endpoint protection, authentication, email security, Drive sharing, audit logs, and data protection settings.
  • Lead security incident response, including investigation, evidence preservation, risk assessment, remediation, and follow-up improvements.
  • Provide day-to-day IT support and manage IT assets, vendors, internal policies, security training, backup, and business continuity.
What We're Looking For
Core Requirements
  • Five or more years of experience in corporate IT or information security, including hands-on experience in security monitoring, access governance, or incident response.
  • Strong experience administering macOS environments, MDM platforms, and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as SSO, MFA, EDR, DLP, IAM, SIEM, and centralized logging.
  • Ability to analyze endpoint, account, cloud, and application logs and investigate potentially high-risk activities.
  • Strong understanding of least-privilege access, data protection, employee onboarding and offboarding, SaaS administration, and IT asset management.
  • High level of integrity and discretion, with strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and project management skills.
Compensation
  • $300k–$500k total compensation including base salary, bonus, equity.
  • Equity — meaningful ownership in what you build.
  • High autonomy, high growth environment.
Work Setup
  • Bay Area preferred.
  • Visa sponsorship available.
