Selective Insurance invites college students to join its Ignite IT internship program in Charlotte, NC. This 11-week, full-time experience offers hands-on assignments, team projects, and exposure to senior leadership, with a hybrid work arrangement within commuting distance of our location.

You’ll explore Application Delivery, Customer Experience, Cybersecurity, and Information Management while gaining practical, real-world IT experience in a dynamic insurance setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a current college student majoring in Computer Science or a related field.
• Be someone who takes ownership over work, has the ability to self-motivate and executes on delegated tasks.
• Demonstrates passion in Data, Analytics, and AI.
• Demonstrates an interest in learning about the insurance industry.
• College credit can be earned depending on your institution’s requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support Data and Analytics solutions.
• Provide production support for the solutions as needed.
• Research new technology capabilities under direction from existing team members.
• Ensure adherence to IT standards and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly to support business processes and resolve issues.
• Work cross-functionally with peers and leaders to complete an Action Learning Project.
