Ivy Tech Community College in Evansville, Indiana is seeking an IT Support staff member to assist the IT Support Team with daily operations of hardware, software, and classroom IT equipment. The role includes helping staff, faculty, and students and may involve limited network/server tasks in collaboration with IT leadership.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, professional communication, and adherence to SLA-driven helpdesk processes.

Qualifications

• Must possess good customer service and organizational skills.
• Must possess good written and oral communication skills and be able to provide service over the phone, through email, or in person.
• Must be proficient with current hardware and software technology.
• Must be able to maintain professional relationships with peers and superiors.
• Ability to use discretion and confidentiality with access to sensitive data and local administrative access to all computers, equipment, and data in the environment for the purpose of support.
• Must be dependable with ability to stay calm in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and user support and guidance in a positive and cooperative manner.
• Process IT Helpdesk cases/incidents to resolve in a timely manner per SLA and document communication.
• Assist and escalate to supervisor as needed.
• Support desktop/laptop devices, printers, projectors, scanners, and network equipment.
• Develop troubleshooting guides under IT Director guidance.
• Participate in IT Support projects and maintain equipment cleanliness and preventive measures.
• Contribute to improving operational efficiency and customer service.
