Mercedes-Benz of Farmington is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician Level I to provide first-level support to end-users, assisting with IT orientation for new staff and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. The role involves guiding users through solutions and escalating complex problems when needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 0-2 years of helpdesk experience, excellent communication, troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; work experience considered.
• 0-2 years Helpdesk Technician experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and listening skills required.
• Research and troubleshooting skills.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver license.
• Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, including new employee IT orientation.
• Prioritize, respond to and resolve IT-related issues promptly, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Log and track all support requests in the ticketing system.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
• Guide users through step-by-step solutions for technical issues.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams or vendors as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance on IT systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and update software and hardware as required.
