Job summary

Gunnison County seeks an IT Helpdesk professional to be the first point of contact for customers needing assistance with computers, phones and peripherals. You will diagnose issues, provide guidance and coordinate with IT staff.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field, experience supporting Windows desktops, AD and M365, and the ability to communicate clearly in English. This full-time on-site role includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience supporting Windows desktops, Office, AD, and M365.
• Experience supporting phones, printers, cameras, microphones, cell phones and tablets.
• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for customers needing help with computers, phones and peripherals.
• Diagnose issues and provide guidance; escalate complex problems to IT staff as needed.
• Maintain courteous service and document incidents in the ticketing system.

Pay Rate

The hourly range is from $27.18 to $30.94, depending on experience, plus full benefits.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Must complete IC S 100 and IC S 700 within the first year of employment (County provided).
• Must pass CBI background check (County provided).
• CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) training and certification (County provided).
• SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) training and certification (County provided).

Qualifications/Education

• Associate Degree from an accredited school in Computer Science (or related field), or a combination of education, certifications, and experience that County Management deems appropriate.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktops, Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Active Directory, and M365.
• Experience supporting telephones, printers, cameras, microphones, cell phones, and tablets.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate in English, orally and in writing.
• Customer service oriented, patient, and friendly.
• Able to work under deadlines with interruptions, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work productively under minimal supervision.
• Able to be on-call (in coordination with other IT staff) for emergencies and unusual events.
• Ability to work independently with access to confidential information used to develop and support managerial positions.
