Gunnison County in Colorado is seeking an IT Support Technician to be the first point of contact for customers needing assistance with computers, phones, and peripherals. You will help users resolve issues on Windows desktops and related devices, and coordinate with the county's technical team.

The role requires strong customer service, English communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Windows desktops, Office suite, AD, and M365.
• Strong communication in English, both written and spoken.

The hourly range is from $27.18 to $30.94, depending on experience, plus full benefits.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Must completeICS 100 and IC... 700 within the first year of employment (County provided).
• Must pass CBI background check (County provided).
• CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) training and certification (County provided).
• SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) training and certification (County provided).

Qualifications/Education

• Associate Degree from an accredited school in Computer Science (or related field), or a combination of education, certifications, and experience that County Management deems appropriate.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktops, Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Active Directory, and M365.
• Experience supporting telephones, printers, cameras, microphones, cell phones, and tablets.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate in English, orally and in writing.
• Customer service oriented, patient, and friendly.
• Able to work under deadlines with interruptions, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work productively under minimal supervision.
• Able to be on-call (in coordination with other IT staff) for emergencies and unusual events.
• Ability to work independently with access to confidential information used to develop and support managerial positions.
