Job description

CNSide Diagnostics, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Plus Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSTV), a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company dedicated to developing life-extending treatments and precision diagnostics for patients with CNS cancers. CNSide provides a proprietary diagnostic platform designed to support the detection, monitoring, and management of leptomeningeal metastases and other CNS malignancies. Together, CNSide and Plus Therapeutics combine innovative diagnostics, targeted radiotherapeutics, and advanced analytics to help improve patient outcomes and address significant unmet medical needs in neuro-oncology. Our team is committed to advancing science and delivering meaningful solutions for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.

Role:

We are looking for a hands-on, customer-focused Onsite IT Support Specialist to serve as the primary onsite technology resource for our Houston office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with employees, solving day-to-day technology issues, and supporting a fast-moving biotech, diagnostics, and laboratory environment. This position will own the onsite employee technology experience, including onboarding and offboarding support, hardware deployment, laptop and peripheral troubleshooting, printer support, conference room technology, asset tracking, basic access coordination, and day-to-day employee support. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that will support scientists, lab employees, executives, and business teams.

The Onsite IT Support Specialist will partner closely with IT vendors, managed service providers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to accelerate complex network, infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems, and compliance-related issues. This role focuses on on-site execution and employee support, not enterprise infrastructure strategy, network architecture, business systems ownership, or long-term technology governance.

This position is based in Houston, TX, and requires a 100% on-site presence, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary on-site IT resource and first point of contact for Houston employees' technology needs.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, conference room technology, and collaboration tools.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including equipment preparation, desk setup, account coordination, equipment provisioning, equipment retrieval, and asset recovery.
  • Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user hardware and software.
  • Support Microsoft 365 end-user needs, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office applications.
  • Maintain conference room technology and provide support for onsite and hybrid meetings.
  • Manage local IT hardware inventory, asset tracking, equipment standards, lifecycle coordination, and on-site equipment storage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day hardware, software, connectivity, access, and peripheral issues.
  • Escalate complex network, infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems, and compliance-related issues to the appropriate IT partner, managed service provider, consultant, or vendor.
  • Coordinate with IT vendors and managed service providers to support equipment standards, endpoint needs, technology deployments, and office/lab technology support.
  • Provide on-site support for laboratory workstations, shared devices, peripherals, and specialized applications, escalating system-level issues as appropriate.
  • Support IT processes in a regulated environment through documentation, access coordination, asset tracking, equipment controls, and compliance-driven procedures.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, support procedures, local equipment standards, and recurring employee technology issues.
  • Participate in IT projects, system improvements, equipment rollouts, and technology deployments as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve onsite employee support, response times, equipment readiness, meeting room reliability, and the overall employee technology experience.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on IT support, desktop support, help desk, endpoint support, or onsite technology support experience.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows environments, endpoint devices, printers, conference room technology, and employee hardware.
  • Experience with employee onboarding/offboarding, account coordination, equipment deployment, and asset tracking.
  • Experience supporting biotech, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, healthcare, laboratory, or regulated environments preferred.
  • Experience working with IT vendors, managed service providers, consultants, or remote IT partners preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT systems, networking concepts, cybersecurity practices, and infrastructure support, with the ability to troubleshoot common issues and elevate complex matters appropriately.
  • Strong customer service, communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees across all levels of the organization, including executives, scientists, lab employees, and business teams.
  • Experience supporting growing companies or startup environments is a plus.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX, Monday through Friday.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to balance daily employee support needs with longer-term technology improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift, move, set up, and organize computer equipment as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and support secure, reliable, and compliant technology processes.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, documentation, and IT service management processes preferred.
