Job summary

Muon Space is seeking a Help Desk Intern to be the friendly first point of contact for IT support in Mountain View, CA. You will set up equipment, troubleshoot issues, and help teammates stay unblocked while learning how a fast-moving aerospace company operates.

The internship offers direct mentorship, equity considerations for full-time roles, and exposure to real-world IT in a startup environment. On-site collaboration with a smart, diverse team is expected.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, computer science, or related field.
• Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS and productivity tools.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills; patient helping non-technical users.
• Well-organized, reliable and eager to learn.
• Able to work full-time and on-site in Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for help desk requests; respond to tickets and guide teammates through fixes.
• Set up, image, and deploy laptops, accounts, and peripherals for new and existing employees.
• Troubleshoot common hardware, software, printing, conferencing, and connectivity issues.
• Help maintain IT inventory and asset records; keep documentation up to date.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff and learn from resolutions.
