Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a Help Desk Intern to join the IT team in Mountain View, CA. The role focuses on setting up equipment, troubleshooting issues, and guiding teammates through fixes to keep engineers productive.

This full-time, on-site internship provides hands-on IT experience in a fast-moving aerospace startup and offers mentorship with experienced professionals, and exposure to real-world operations in spacecraft development.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, computer science, or related field.
• Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS and common productivity tools (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365).
• Strong communication and customer-service skills, and patience helping non-technical users.
• Well-organized, reliable, and eager to learn.
• Able to work full-time and on-site in Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for help desk requests, responding to tickets and walking teammates through fixes.
• Set up, image, and deploy laptops, accounts, and peripherals for new and existing employees.
• Troubleshoot common hardware, software, printing, conferencing, and connectivity issues.
• Help maintain IT inventory and asset records, and keep documentation up to date.
• Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff and learn from resolution approaches.
