Job summary

Smith Group in Houston is seeking a DCS Specialist to support inbound and outbound Operations process requirements. Responsibilities include staging and processing purchase orders, assembling and cataloging IT hardware, and ensuring data is erased and devices reset to factory specifications.

You will update PO status, meet deadlines, and adhere to ESD and safety policies. Candidates should have 2+ years in IT hardware, strong communication, teamwork, and a willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience assembling, inspecting, and testing IT hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco) preferred.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Attention to detail (quality & accuracy).
• Self-motivated; high performance/productivity.
• Teamwork experience and strong team player.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Willingness to work overtime as business needs require.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Stage, organize, and process purchase order materials.
• Organize, inspect, test, and catalogue electronic hardware (servers, PCs, network equipment, spare parts).
• Erase data from storage devices and reset to factory specifications on inbound products.
• Provide updates to the status of purchase orders and ensure timely completion.
• Assist team in meeting project deadlines and provide frequent status updates to supervisors.
• Adhere to and maintain ESD requirements in all required work areas.
• Adhere to and maintain all quality, safety, environmental & recycling policies.
• Assist Operations team and other departments as needed.
