The Opportunity:

The CIS program supports our intelligence customer by delivering IT services to conduct its globally distributed operations. We are leading an exciting technological transformation through designing, developing, implementing, and operating cutting-edge solutions, including continuous service improvement via modernization of IT infrastructure.

CACI seeks an experienced, innovative, and motivated IT Hardware Engineer to support the mission objectives of the Defense Intelligence Agency. This position is contingent upon award of the DIA SITE III CIO Information Services (CIS) contract.

Responsibilities:

1. Leads analysis of requirements, concepts of operations, and system architectures to create detailed infrastructure designs aligned with program goals.
2. Collaborates with operations teams and government stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure objectives related to availability, reliability, resiliency, and operability are met.
3. Researches optimal design characteristics, conducts Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), and performs feasibility studies and proofs of concept.
4. Incorporates capacity, performance, and service-level metrics into designs for optimal user experience and infrastructure utilization.
5. Produces engineering artifacts, test cases, training materials, and documentation, possibly providing team leadership or guidance.
6. Researches new technologies, analyzes benefits of integration, and participates in Continual Service Improvement (CSI) and innovation activities.
7. Uses lab facilities for experimentation and feasibility assessments of designs and technologies.
8. Develops test cases and scripts for unit and system testing, ensuring complete coverage and positive outcomes prior to deployment.
9. Supports transfer of engineered solutions during acceptance testing, blue/green deployment, and early production phases.
10. Provides troubleshooting, repair, and optimization support to operations teams.
11. Develops tech refresh strategies, including assessment, vendor evaluation, procurement, deployment, governance, and risk management.
12. Supports engineering services transition from engineering to operations.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in designing, integrating, validating, and implementing IT hardware/software solutions.
• Experience level based on education: AS/AA + 14+ years, BS/BA + 12+ years, MS/MA + 10+ years, PhD + 8+ years.
• DoD 8140 certifications applicable to role; IAT II, Security+ (minimum).
• Excellent communication, teamwork, leadership, conflict management, and critical thinking skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.

Desired:

• Degree in Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, or Science.
• Familiarity with IC ITE services and classified environments.
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification.

Pay Range

The salary range is influenced by various factors including location, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Our comprehensive benefits support employees and their families, including healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, education, and time off. The proposed salary range for this position is: $82,100 - $172,400.
