The Opportunity:

The CIS program supports our intelligence customer deliver IT services to conduct its globally distributed operations. We are driving an exciting technological transformation of their IT services by leading the design, development, implementation, and operation of cutting-edge solutions. This includes continuous service improvement through the modernization of IT system infrastructure.

CACI is looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated IT Hardware Engineer to support the mission objectives and needs of the customer, the Defense Intelligence Agency. The position is contingent upon award of the DIA SITE III CIO Information Services (CIS) contract.

Responsibilities:

1. Leads the analysis of requirements, concepts of operations, and system architectures to create detailed infrastructure designs in line with program vision and objectives.
2. Collaborates with operations teams and government stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure availability, reliability, resiliency, and operability objectives are well understood and achievable.
3. Researches optimal design characteristics and conducts Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs) for objective, informed decision-making on technology and service options, feasibility studies, and proofs of concepts.
4. Incorporates capacity, performance, and other service-level metrics into designs for optimal user experience and infrastructure utilization.
5. Works in small teams or independently to produce engineering and design artifacts, test cases, training materials, and supporting documentation, including CONOPS; may provide team leadership or guidance.
6. Researches new technologies and capabilities, analyzes and articulates to stakeholders the benefits of integration into current infrastructure ecosystems, and conducts objective AoA and tradeoff decisions as a key member of Continual Service Improvement (CSI) and innovation activities.
7. Uses lab facilities to promote experimentation, investigation, and feasibility of designs and technologies.
8. Develops test cases and scripts for unit and system tests for all designs and configurations; uses lab facilities to ensure complete test coverage and positive outcomes before readying components for deployment.
9. Supports transfer of engineered solutions to Operations teams throughout Acceptance testing, blue/green fielding, and early Production use to smooth operations during initial use.
10. Provides advanced troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing services to operations teams.
11. Develops tech refresh strategy for assessment and planning, vendor evaluation and procurement, implementation and deployment, governance and oversight, compliance, and risk management executed in the phased approach.
12. Provides support of engineering services from engineering to operations transition.

Qualifications:

Required:

1. Must hold a current Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.
2. Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience designing, integrating, validating, and implementing IT hardware and software solutions.
3. An AS/AA and 14+ years of experience, BS/BA and 12+ years of experience, MS/MA and 10+ years of experience, or PhD and 8+ years of experience.
4. DoD 8140 certifications applicable to role. IAT II, Security + (Minimum required).
5. Excellent communication, teamwork, leadership and conflict management, and critical thinking skills.
6. Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies.

Desired:

1. Degree in Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, or Science.
2. Familiarity with IC ITE services and classified environments.
3. ITIL 4 Foundation.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is: $82,100-$172,400. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
