Job summary

Confluent Health is seeking an ITHardware Asset Associate to manage lifecycle of physical tech assets, from receiving and tagging to secure disposal. You’ll maintain AMDB accuracy and collaborate with IT and HR to streamline onboarding and offboarding.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in IT support or asset management, and comfort with Excel and ITSM tools. This hybrid role is based in Evansville, Indiana, with a competitive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 1 to 3 years of experience in an IT support or asset management environment.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Tracking: Oversee the physical receiving, tagging, and logging of all incoming technology hardware.
• Status Monitoring: Update the Asset Management Database (AMDB) to reflect real-time location and assignment changes.
• Secure Disposal: Coordinateretirement, data destruction, and eco-friendly recycling of obsolete IT equipment.
• Data Reconciliation: Run routine audits to verify physical inventory against network discovery tools.
• Process Documentation: Create and update SOPs for hardware handling and distribution.
• Loss Prevention: Identify discrepancies in inventory counts and investigate missing assets.
• Process Improvement: Help improve asset tracking controls and workflow consistency.
• Deployment Support: Partner with IT Service Desk/HR to streamline hardware asset tracking for onboarding/offboarding.

The ITHardware AssetAssociate oversees the day-to-day lifecycle of the organization’s physical technology assets. This role is responsible for receiving, tracking, deploying, and securely disposing of hardware components. A successful candidate will maintain data accuracy within our inventory systems and proactively identify opportunities to improve our hardware management workflows.

Process & Governance

• Data Reconciliation: Run routine audits to verify physical inventory against network discovery tools.
• Process Documentation: Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hardware handling and distribution, currentstateand future state.
• Loss Prevention: Identify discrepancies in inventory counts and investigate missing or misplaced physical assets.
• Process Improvement: Help improve asset tracking controls, documentation, and workflow consistency across the organization.

Vendor & User Support

• Deployment Support: Partner with the IT Service Deskand HR to streamline hardwareasset trackingforonboarding and offboarding.
• Vendor Coordination: Work withlogisticspartners and hardware vendors to track shipments and resolve order errors.
• Procurement Support: Serve as backup to the IT Procurement Specialist.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Education: Associate’s orBachelor’sdegree in IT, Business, ora relatedfield (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in an IT support or asset management environment.

Skills & Competencies

• Technical Savvy: Basic familiarity with hardware components (laptops, servers, monitors, networking gear).
• Data Accuracy: Strong attention to detail& data accuracywith standard spreadsheets (Excel/SmartSheet) for bulk data entries.
• System Familiarity: Experience using IT Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira,Freshservice) is a plus.
• Leadership Traits: Strong self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, and a desire to take ownership of administrative workflows.
• Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical and operational partners.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting: Ability to lift and move IT equipment packages weighing up to 40 pounds routinely.
