Lead the technology backbone of a project shaping the future of AI

At GCON, we are building more than infrastructure—we are enabling the next wave of the AI revolution. This project represents a bold step forward in how technology, construction, and innovation converge to create something never built before.

We are looking for an IT Lead who thrives in that intersection—someone who is not just technically strong, but people‑first, solution‑driven, and energized by complexity.

This is a role for a leader who doesn’t just solve problems— you create solutions where none exist.

Work Model & Project Commitment
  • ~80% on‑site presence
  • Primary site: Ft. Stockton, TX
  • Active engagement in a live construction environment

This is a role for someone who understands that real impact happens on the ground—working side‑by‑side with teams to solve problems in real time.

Travel & Incentive Program

  • Comprehensive travel and housing support
  • Competitive per diem structure
  • Performance‑based incentives tied to project success
  • Opportunity to contribute to a high‑visibility, career‑defining project

This is more than a job—it’s a chance to be part of something transformational.

Who You Are
  • A people‑oriented IT leader who builds trust quickly
  • Someone who stays calm in chaos and thrives on solving the unsolved
  • A connector who can align field teams, executives, vendors, and IT partners
  • The type of professional who sees challenges and thinks: “let’s figure it out”

You don’t wait for perfect conditions—you make the impossible possible.

Key Responsibilities
End‑User Experience & Support Leadership

  • Deliver high‑quality L1/L2 support across hardware, software, and access
  • Own the full lifecycle of onboarding and off‑boarding (devices, accounts, MAM)
  • Ensure users are productive, supported, and confident in their technology
Cross‑Organization IT Leadership
  • Act as the central liaison between the JV, MSP, GCON IT, and H&W IT teams
  • Drive accountability across partners to meet SLAs and deliver outcomes
  • Coordinate escalations, system changes, and advanced support (L3)
  • Lead collaboration across a multi‑company IT ecosystem
M365, SaaS & Endpoint Administration
  • Perform hands‑on administration across M365 (Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, Teams)
  • Manage device compliance, access controls, and endpoint health
  • Support and coordinate SaaS tools critical to construction operations
  • Maintain visibility into platforms, licenses, costs, and ownership
Job Site Technology & Connectivity
  • Own IT operations across an active construction environment
  • Manage internet, Wi‑Fi, and cellular connectivity across site locations
  • Support network hardware (routers, switches, access points)
  • Oversee A/V systems and ensure meeting spaces are fully operational
  • Set up and maintain fully functional workstations in site trailers
Security & Incident Response
  • Act as the first line of response for security concerns and incidents
  • Coordinate with SOC, MSP, and partner teams on escalations
  • Ensure compliance across endpoint protection and network security tools
  • Drive awareness and accountability through training and phishing programs
Governance, Budget & Strategy
  • Manage the IT budget and provide monthly reporting
  • Monitor vendor and MSP performance against SLAs
  • Participate in IT Oversight Committee meetings with insights and recommendations
