Job summary

Gr8ttek is seeking a regular Field Specialist to support its Infrastructure Delivery team in the Raleigh area. You will perform hardware-focused break-fix services at client sites, troubleshoot issues, and decide on actions per guidelines.

Strong customer service and clear communication are essential. Requirements include 1–2 years of relevant experience or technical certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Technical school certification or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of relevant field experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must own a basic repair toolkit.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer break-fix support for designated equipment.
• Communicate clearly in written and verbal form with customers.
• Deliver excellent customer service and professional conduct.
• Accept and complete all service calls assigned.
• Complete administrative tasks and update records for each call.
• Control and return assets and inventory as required.
• Assist teammates and take on other duties as needed.

Reporting to the Territory Supervisor the Field Specialist will perform a variety of hardware-focused, break fix services and solutions on various client products. Candidates must possess the ability to perform basic and moderately complex troubleshooting and repair activities. Position may require the exercise of moderately complex analytical skills and to make decisions based on established department and company guidelines.

Responsibilities and Skills

• Communicating clearly in written and verbal form
• Accepting and delivery of all service calls assigned
• Completing all administrative tasks associated with each call
• Responsible for control and return of assets and inventory
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
• May provide functional guidance to colleagues

Requirements

• Typically requires technical school certification or equivalent and 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to drive yourself to client locations
• Ability to lift and or move various computer equipment up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation with valid registration and adequate insurance Additional requirements may exist if offer of employment is extended
• Must own a basic repair tool kit
