Base pay range

$45.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Addison Group is working with an electric vehicle company in search for a well-rounded IT Engineer to join their team. This is a fully remote position, hours in PST/MST time zone, and a contract to hire role. Please apply to be considered!

Our client is looking for an IT Engineer to help protect company systems, devices, and data while supporting day-to-day internal IT operations. The candidate will work closely with engineering, compliance, and operations teams to maintain security best practices, support SOC 2 efforts, and improve internal IT systems.

Responsibilities:

Security & Compliance

1. Maintain the existing SOC 2 compliance program, collaborating with a third-party auditor to address exceptions and remediations.
2. Assist with internal audits and ensure documentation and controls stay up to date.

Access & Device Management

1. Help manage and enforce least privileged access across cloud systems, tools, and infrastructure.
2. Deploy and manage MDM (Mobile Device Management) solutions across Mac and Windows devices.
3. Ensure endpoint security and compliance across all employee devices.
4. Assist in implementing observability tools for security monitoring, alerting, and logging.
5. Help coordinate incident response and maintain documentation during investigations.

Internal IT Support

1. Support secure onboarding and offboarding of employees.
2. Troubleshoot Mac and Windows issues, software configurations, and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack).
3. Maintain device compliance with enterprise customer requirements.

Initial Projects:

1. SOC 2 Support – Own the exception remediation process in partnership with our third-party auditor.
2. MDM Deployment – Roll out an MDM solution across all company-owned devices.
3. Security Monitoring – Help design and implement observability tools to detect anomalies and risks in real time.

Requirements:

1. Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles (e.g., least privilege, encryption, incident response).
2. Familiarity with IT systems, device management, and user access controls.
3. Experience with both Mac and Windows operating systems.
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills:

1. Experience with MDM tools (e.g., Jamf, Kandji, Intune).
2. Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or other security frameworks.
3. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
4. Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
5. Security certifications (Security+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate, etc.).
