Job summary

CoVerica, a premier, employee-owned independent insurance agency in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, seeks an IT Director to own technology strategy, infrastructure, and security posture as the agency grows.

You will lead IT end-to-end, from day-to-day systems and Microsoft 365 administration to cybersecurity fundamentals and vendor management, while building a team and processes that keep CoVerica secure and efficient.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive IT experience, including team leadership.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID).
• Solid cybersecurity fundamentals (MDR, BDR, data protection).
• Experience managing IT vendors, contracts, and budgets.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate technical topics for non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Own IT strategy, infrastructure, and application ecosystem; align technology with growth and operations.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 environment and security policies.
• Oversee cybersecurity practices, MDR/BDR coordination and vendor security.
• Lead IT staff, manage budgets, projects, and vendor relationships.
• Document IT procedures and drive continuous improvement.
