Job summary

CoVerica Insurance in Dallas-Fort Worth seeks an IT Director to own technology strategy, infrastructure, and security posture as the agency grows. You’ll lead day-to-day IT operations, manage Microsoft 365, cybersecurity fundamentals, vendor relationships, and build a capable team with scalable processes.

This on-site role offers opportunities to transition to hybrid after an acclimation period and to shape IT governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of progressive IT experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
• Solid cybersecurity fundamentals including MDR/BDR concepts.
• Experience administering an RMM/endpoint platform (Kaseya).
• Experience managing IT vendors, contracts, and budgets.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical topics for non-technical staff.
• Proactive, process-oriented IT management with strong documentation.
• Insurance industry experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own IT strategy, infrastructure, and application ecosystem to align with growth.
• Oversee core IT operations, hardware, network, and cloud environments.
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 environments and Entra ID.
• Manage user provisioning, licensing, and security policies in Microsoft 365.
• Lead IT staff; manage outsourced IT and vendor relationships.
• Set priorities, manage projects, and track SLAs.
