Job summary

Brown University’s Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM) seeks an Associate Director of IT to lead all IT operations, security, and service development for a prominent mathematics research institute.

The role will coordinate with Brown IT and external collaborators, manage IT staff, and guide strategic technology initiatives essential to ICERM’s research and administrative activities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in the sciences or engineering or equivalent experience in a research-oriented environment.
• 7+ years of IT-related experience.

Responsibilities

• The Associate Director of IT for ICERM oversees IT/technology related operational activities and manages IT staff.
• Ensures operational security, stability, service development, and continuity of institute activities.
• Represents ICERM in internal IT committees and collaborates with Brown's Office of Information Technology.
