Job summary

Forte Bank is seeking an IT Director to lead our technology strategy and operations in Hartford, WI. This role emphasizes risk management, cybersecurity, vendor oversight, and building a resilient IT foundation for the bank and its customers.

You will guide the IT roadmap, manage the annual budget, and lead internal staff and external partners, ensuring confidentiality and high service levels across the organization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• 5–7 years progressive IT experience, banking IT preferred.
• 3+ years leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Office 365, Aristotle Insight, Tandem, Tenable, KnowBe4.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT risk management and cybersecurity initiatives in alignment with bank policies.
• Oversee IT audits/examinations and vendor management.
• Manage IT infrastructure including networks, hardware, software, and phones.
• Develop and implement IT roadmap and annual budget.
• Provide help desk support and lead IT staff and third-party providers.
• Maintain security awareness and incident response and business continuity plans.
• Stay current on IT news and industry developments.

• Lead internal IT Steering Committee


• Develop and implement IT Roadmap consistent with organizational strategy


• Responsible for annual IT budget and IT project management


• Provide help desk support to users.


• Manage additional staff member/back up as well as third party managed IT provider/vendor


• Stay current on IT news through reading, education, industry networks


• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred


• 5-7 years of progressive IT experience required, banking IT experience preferred


• 3+ years of leadership experience


• Extensive Knowledge of Office 365, Aristotle Insight, Tandem, Tenable, KnowB4


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills


• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information


• Dependable with strong attendance and scheduling flexibility
