Job summary

TEKsystems seeking qualified candidates for a Desktop Support role in Bedford, Ohio. This first-shift, onsite opportunity is contract-to-hire and ideal for individuals with helpdesk or PC technician experience looking to grow within IT.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving software/hardware issues on Windows and Mac, deploying Windows, re-imaging from Windows 10 to 11, and providing excellent customer service. CompTIA certs desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous Helpdesk or Desktop Support or PC Technician experience is preferred.
• IT certifications are desirable for this role.
• First shift, Contract to Hire.
• Onsite position based in Bedford, Ohio.
• Pay range is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.

• Swapping out laptops/desktops and deploying Windows 10/11.
• Re-imaging Windows 11 onto machines from Windows 10.
• Assist users with IT incidents and document requests in the service desk system.
• Take ownership of issues, analyze and escalate to restore service as needed.
• Install and configure new IT equipment.
• Resolve incidents and support printers, copiers, and scanners.
• Maintain a first-class level of customer service.

Previous Helpdesk or Desktop Support or PC Technician experience is preferred. IT certifications are desirable for this role. This will be a first shift opportunity on a Contract to Hire basis.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications

• Swapping out laptops/desktops and deploying Windows 10/11

• Re-imaging windows 11 onto machines from windows 10

• To assist all our users with any logged IT related incident when called upon

• To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary

• To accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system

• To install and configure new IT equipment

• To resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware

• To resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners

• To maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
