Nelnet, Inc. is seeking an IT Manager to lead the FACTS Financial Aid Management development teams. You will apply core values to elevate team culture, define quality standards, and foster cross‑department collaboration with IT, Product, and Operations.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, at least 3 years of leadership in IT, and experience mentoring or driving significant change. The role includes hiring involvement and strategic staffing decisions in a hybrid work

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years leadership experience, preferably in IT.
• Experience mentoring and developing others and/or leading a significant change within a team.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and judgment skills.

Responsabilidades

• Coaches, motivates and develops team members to model desired quality techniques.
• Builds strong relationships with IT, Product, and Operations leaders to seek feedback for continuous improvement.
• Translates technical detail into business relevant language.
• Sets clear objectives and measures aligned with organizational goals to evaluate performance.
• Promotes teamwork and cooperation within and across teams.
• Implements lean solutions to improve team efficiency while maintaining effectiveness.
• Assesses and improves team health.
• Creates a culture that makes room for failure, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Leads the hiring process for team members.
• Contributes to strategic planning decisions such as budget and staffing plans.
• Responsible for product or initiative delivery, including quality, efficiency and timeliness.
• Effectively communicates the status of ongoing initiatives with Product Owners and Teams.
• Assists Agile teams in implementing designs for large-scale software projects.
