Job description

The Quality Analyst oversees the integrity and reliability of data (demographics, medical, financials, Marketing etc.) flowing across systems, ensuring compliance with established standards and processes. Work in a team with data quality engineers, collaborate with them, share best practices and drive a culture of accountability and excellence within data engineering and data analytics domain.

  • This role is 100% remote and can be performed from anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Software data quality experience on enterprise level applications which includes ETL, Database, Data Warehouse Testing & report testing.
  • Help Data Quality Manager to design and establish data quality processes and standards to deliver high quality data needs.
  • Familiarity with Python, Great Expectations, SODA or any other open source tool to automate data validation, monitoring and reporting of bugs.
  • Proficient in SSIS, SSRS, MSSQL, Snowflake, Azure Data engineering (ADF, Storage Account, Azure SQL).
  • Working knowledge of SQL, RDBMS, and DW concepts & experience in testing ETL and DB solutions.
  • Experience in validating Reports/Dashboards on tools like MS Power BI etc.
  • Knowledge of data models and entity relationship diagrams.
  • Knowledge of Test Case Preparation and Execution.
  • Drive execution of test strategy and scenarios, log bugs, work with data engineers to resolve the bugs and present bug report to management.
  • Partner with data engineering, data analytics, business analysts and architects to understand data flow requirements and ensure seamless integration and processing.
  • Review functional and technical solutions to develop test plans and scripts for various data quality checks.
  • Experience on JIRA Or defect tracking tool.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analytics and Data testing tools developing reports and dashboards and ETL tools.
  • Demonstrate understanding of healthcare processes to translate into test scenarios and use cases.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate business requirements into Dashboards and Reporting.
  • Experience working in Agile development environment with tools such as Jira and DevOps.
  • Knowledge on technical competence with the latest technologies (Azure, Power BI, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Azure/AWS Cloud, Devops (ADO), Snowflake, Mobility & Security, Snowflake).
  • Knowledge with Azure services: Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory.
  • Understanding of and experience with Agile delivery and Scrum ceremonies.
  • Experience in Python, Snowflake streams, Great Expectations, SODA or any other open source tool to automate data validation, monitoring and reporting of bugs.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Vendor certification (Azure Data Engineering, PowerBI certifications, Snowflake Certifications.) Value add.
  • Data QA certifications preferred.

  • Must have the ability to multi-task & adapt quickly to changes, maintaining urgency in completing assigned tasks.
  • Should be detail oriented with analytical mind set.
  • Ability to communicate well to both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Excellent problem solving & analytical skills, able to handle challenging situations and act appropriately.
  • Excellent learning skills must learn and guide other team members on their knowledge.
  • Should be a self-starter; takes responsibility and ownership and is self-driven.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as ability to work within a team.
  • Good team player; commitment to high-quality output and service.
  • Motivate and challenge self for continued innovation.
