Job summary

Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions Inc is seeking an IT Data Analyst to join a hybrid Boise, Idaho team focused on analytics, data products, and AI-enabled solutions. The role requires translating business needs into clear technical specs and collaborating with data engineers, BI developers, and ML practitioners.

The candidate will perform SQL-based data validation, maintain documentation, support agile processes, and ensure data quality while navigating stakeholder requirements and data

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a data analyst, business analyst, BI analyst, product analyst, or similar requirements focused role.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on SQL experience (joins, filters, aggregations, CTEs, exploratory profiling).
  • Proven ability to gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into clear documentation for technical teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to adapt style for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts (tables, views, dimensions, facts, grain).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and follow through on commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Convert unclear business requests into well defined problem statements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis using SQL to validate assumptions, assess data availability, and surface data quality issues.
  • Work with data engineers, analytics engineers, BI developers, and AI/ML practitioners to ensure the business logic is accurately implemented.
  • Lead discovery sessions, requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and cross functional alignment meetings.
  • Develop and maintain documentation such as business requirements documents, process flows, metric definitions, test scenarios, and decision logs.
  • Support Agile delivery by writing user stories, detailing acceptance criteria, and participating in sprint planning and prioritization.
  • Identify gaps between stakeholder expectations, available data, and technical feasibility; proactively raise risks and tradeoffs.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing and promote consistent data definitions and standardized analytics practices.

The salary range varies based on location and the candidate's combination of knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

SHORT-TERM VARIABLE COMPENSATION PLAN

An annual bonus opportunity exists, with actual payouts based on business performance and individual results. Eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
