Qualifications

Responsibilities

IT Consultant
Hybrid (Onsite every two weeks)

Description:

Diversified Systems is searching for a IT Consultant to support the Office of Information Management Systems. This position provides expert MuleSoft integration development and enterprise architecture services, supporting enterprise integration modernization initiatives, API governance, platform migration efforts, and enterprise architecture standards.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API-led connectivity, enterprise integration architecture, CloudHub 2.0, DataWeave 2.0, and secure API development practices. This role will collaborate with architects, business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to design, govern, and optimize enterprise integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Enterprise Architecture & Integration Governance
• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts.
• Design, document, and govern MuleSoft integration assets, including API design standards, data mapping and transformation guidelines, integration policies, security controls, and architectural position papers.
• Electronic Lab Data Ingress Architecture Modernization
• Assess and redesign existing Electronic Lab Data ingress architecture.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and reusability gaps.
• Deliver updated architecture designs that improve throughput, reduce latency, and promote modular, reusable integration patterns.
• MuleSoft Platform Modernization
• Update MuleSoft APIs to support JVM 17 compatibility requirements.
• Update MuleSoft APIs to achieve FIPS 140-3 compliance.
• CloudHub 2.0 Migration
• Plan and execute migration of MuleSoft APIs to CloudHub 2.0.
• Validate application functionality following migration activities.
• Ensure adherence to CloudHub 2.0 networking, deployment, and operational best practices.
• Enterprise Integration Delivery
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, business analysts, and development teams to translate business requirements into integration solutions.
• Enforce MuleSoft API governance policies, versioning standards, and lifecycle management practices.
• Monitor integration performance metrics and proactively address throughput, latency, and reliability issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and integration specifications.
• Write and maintain MUnit test suites to ensure API correctness, resilience, and regression coverage.
• Mentor State IT staff on MuleSoft integration architecture, governance, and development best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of integration patterns, reusability standards, and platform governance practices.

Requirements:

• 5 years of MuleSoft integration development and enterprise architecture experience required.
• 3 years of experience developing MuleSoft integrations using Anypoint Platform required.
• 3 years of experience designing and implementing API-led connectivity solutions required.
• 3 years of experience with CloudHub or CloudHub 2.0 deployment and operations required.
• 3 years of experience with DataWeave 2.0 data transformation and mapping required.
• 2 years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment required.
• Expertise with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform including API design, development, and deployment required.
• Strong experience with API-led connectivity and three-layer architecture, including Experience APIs, Process APIs, and System APIs required.
• Knowledge of FIPS 140-3 compliance requirements and secure API development practices required.
• Experience with CloudHub 2.0 deployment, networking, and operational best practices required.
• Familiarity with JVM 17 compatibility requirements and API runtime upgrades required.
• Experience with integration security controls including OAuth 2.0, TLS/mTLS, and API policies required.
• Experience developing and managing migration plans and enterprise integration roadmaps required.
• Experience with MUnit automated API testing required.
• Knowledge of Anypoint Monitoring, Visualizer, and API Analytics required.
• Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent integration initiatives required.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study required.
