Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of IT communications, technical writing, corporate communications, or a related role.
• Demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics such as networking, security, endpoint management, and infrastructure changes.
• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing communications across multiple channels and working directly with technical teams.

The IT Communications Writer serves as the primary voice of IT, translating technical initiatives, system changes, outages, security advisories, and policy updates into clear, audience-focused communications. Working closely with infrastructure, network, security, service management, and project teams, this role ensures clinicians, researchers, administrative staff, and leadership remain informed and confident during technology change.

Preferred Healthcare or regulated industry experience; knowledge of ITIL/ITSM and ServiceNow; familiarity with MDM, endpoint security, and BYOD programs; SharePoint experience; and change management certification (e.g., Prosci).
