The IT Capital Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Capital Projects for the client’s Information Technology Team. The successful applicant will be analyzing results, monitoring variances, and identifying trends within multiple capital and operational projects. The position will identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecast. They maintain financial tracking and reporting, prepare contractual invoices for payment, and verifies resources are budgeted and have appropriate cost allocations. In addition, he/she will maintain and update resource cost allocations and assist in the maintenance of contract agreements resulting in invoice generation.

Responsibilities:
- Track and report project costs and deliverables, including incoming invoices and payments to suppliers
- Review vendor invoices and communicate on billing discrepancies
- Track and report budget issues to Project Managers and client’s Financial staff
- Participate in Project meetings internally and with vendor contacts
- Maintain Project financial documentation related to project milestones and deliverables
- Organize data from several sources to support recommendations for decisions
- Prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and ad hoc reports including budget, and general financial information
- Assist in the preparation of budgets based on management input regarding resources required for future periods
- Provide support to Project Managers to present and discuss cash flow analysis of encumbrances and expenditures and assist Project Managers in preparing presentations of findings
- Provide recommendations for best practices based on financial reconciliations
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/BA degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-7+ year(s) professional accounting experience preferably in a project setting.
Technology
TECHNOLOGY:
- Expert level with MS Excel, including Queries, VBA, macros and pivot tables.
