Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, Workers Compensation Division, is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst 2 to bridge IT and business units, translating needs into actionable technical solutions. You will analyze, design, and implement enhancements across critical business systems and BI reporting.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, system design, testing, training, and post-implementation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role; low-code, SQL, data visualization preferred.
• Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern cloud-native applications.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Git, Jenkins, or containerization; CSPO/PSPO/SAFe certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business needs with stakeholders to define system requirements and processes.
• Design and document functional specifications, system design, and workflow diagrams.
• Support project planning, timelines, scope, and resource estimation; collaborate across IT and business teams.
• Lead testing activities including functional, regression, and UAT to ensure quality and readiness.
• Provide training and post-implementation support to end-users and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain reports/dashboards with data teams for BI and decision-making.
• Stay updated on industry trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Ensure QA and UAT criteria are met; coordinate product launches and post-release support.
• Support risk, compliance, and SOX/PCI-DSS-related controls for applications.
