Job summary

The American Cancer Society is seeking a Business Analyst, IT, to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams and ensure IT initiatives meet organizational needs. You will elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, write user stories, and support solution validation.

You will partner with IT, product owners, and QA to ensure test coverage and successful delivery. Strong analytical skills and communication are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Certificate(s) or License(s): CBAP, CCBA, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
• Years of experience: 2-4 years of IT business analysis experience.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, hybrid methodologies.
• Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping skills.

Responsibilities

• Elicits and documents business, functional, and technical requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis of business processes.
• Collaborates with IT, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases.
• Partners with QA and development teams to validate solutions, ensuring test coverage aligns with requirements and business needs.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date business process documentation and supports knowledge transfer.
• Contributes to continuous improvement of BA practices, tools, and templates.
