Job summary

AMETEK Programmable Power Power in San Diego, CA is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support the local business with robust applications and IT solutions, including Oracle ERP and Microsoft Power BI. You will work directly with key business users to gather requirements and translate them into IT solutions, managing the process through to production release.

The role focuses on developing and maintaining applications, while addressing reporting, compliance activities, and end-user support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT as a business analyst with strong technical skills.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with ASP.net programming or equivalent custom coding experience.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and access to export-controlled information and source code.
• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the custom developed applications.
• Translate business requirements and requests into new solutions to facilitate automation and to promote business growth.
• Make data available for Power BI reporting from sources like Oracle eBusiness Suite ERP, Salesforce CRM, and customer applications.
• Develop and maintain various reports and product/shipping labels used by the business.
• Manage and resolve day-to-day IT support requests.
