Job summary

City of Houston is seeking an IT Specialist - Business Analysis to support HPW-IT Infrastructure. Based in Houston, you will define system scope, analyze needs, document requirements, and contribute to solutions for mission-critical HPW operations.

You will collaborate with IT staff and stakeholders to ensure alignment with department strategies, develop business cases, and help drive improvements across business processes and governance-related initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
• At least three (3) years of technology experience performing business analysis.
• Related professional experience may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Define, validate, and improve systems and processes across HPW's IT Infrastructure.
• Analyze user needs, document requirements, and support solution development.
• Collaborate with technical staff and stakeholders to align business and IT goals.
• Develop business cases to justify investments in process or system changes.
