Job summary

Steiner Electric is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support the technology and systems that drive our manufacturing and distribution operations. The role collaborates with users to understand business needs, identify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.

The position emphasizes ownership, data analysis, and effective communication across cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least two years in a business

• Experience supporting IT systems within a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Test system modifications and enhancements to ensure they meet requirements.
• Develop and maintain system procedure documentation for modifications and operating procedures.
• Conduct application and system training for users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues; communicate resolutions to users.
• Perform report validation to help ensure data accuracy.
• Communicate technical information in both technical and user-friendly language.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The primary responsibility of the IT Business Analyst is to provide users with support for the technology and systems that support Steiner’s business. This role works closely with users to understand business needs, identify requirements, troubleshoot issues, determine solutions, and ensure systems and applications are effectively supporting business operations.

• Provide support to users by gathering and interpreting information, identifying requirements, determining solutions, and communicating solutions back to users.
• Test system modifications and enhancements to ensure they meet customer and user requirements following installation.
• Develop and maintain system procedure documentation for newly installed modifications and operating procedures.
• Conduct application and system training for users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues by identifying causes, determining solutions, and communicating resolutions to users.
• Perform report validation to help ensure system and data accuracy.
• Communicate technical information and solutions in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Analyze large quantities of data while understanding product data requirements and the impact of inaccurate data entry.
• Communicate and track project status using project management software.

WHAT WE'LL NEED FROM YOU:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum of two years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role.

Experience supporting IT systems within a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.

Technical knowledge and experience with Epicor Eclipse software preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, especially within cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
