Job summary

The State of Nevada, Governor’s Finance Office, Office of Project Management, seeks an experienced Project Analyst in Carson City to support day-to-day planning, execution, and control activities. Placement on either the Human Resources Management Team or the Finance Team will depend on needs and candidate experience.

Responsibilities include documenting requirements, developing data flow diagrams, and coordinating with stakeholders to define system interfaces and transitions.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of applicable experience with a minimum of one-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Apply data processing concepts to business process plans and analyses.
• Develop work and/or data flow diagrams illustrating functional processes.
• Document business and functional requirements for proposed projects.
• Review test results to assess accuracy and completeness of application code.
• Monitor quality assurance and evaluate computer hardware and software needs.
• Analyze business processes, propose improvements, and identify automations.
• Define system benefits and deficiencies for existing systems.
• Consult with stakeholders to determine end-user requirements.
• Develop bridging specifications to program areas that interact with processes and output.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and staff.
• Lead and manage project scope, timelines, and budgets.
