University of Maryland, College Park seeks an IT/AV support staff member to troubleshoot and maintain classroom technology. You will coordinate with Classroom Technology staff to design, deploy, and test AV systems in general classrooms and labs.
The role requires collaboration, problem solving, and strong customer service. Responsibilities include supporting Windows/Mac environments, Active Directory, and service management tools, with a focus on reliability and quality service delivery.
Organization's Summary Statement:
The Washington DC campus for the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business has instructional and collaborative technology in 5 classrooms, 1 lab,and a conference room. The IT/AV Contractual 1 investigates all technical support issues reported and/or found, escalated from the Smith IT Technicians or delegated by Smith IT Management or Administrators. The IT/AV Contractual 1 has dispatch responsibility and distributes incoming service requests to individual team members or support groups.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit and stand at a computer for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull IT and audiovisual equipment, supplies, and related materials weighing up to approximately 10 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Licenses/ Certifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three (3) years of audio programming experience.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
