Job summary

State-Universities Retirement System of Illinois is seeking an Internal Auditor Assistant Manager to develop and perform IT audits and contribute to the pension administration replacement project. The role focuses on information system controls, pre-implementation reviews, and enhancing security and efficiency through audit findings and recommendations.

The position reports to the Chief Internal Auditor and is based in Champaign, IL, with in-office training and a potential hybrid schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in information technology (IT), accounting, business administration, finance or related field.
• Two (2) years of work experience performing duties comparable to Internal Auditor Associate.

Responsibilities

• Plan internal audits of areas assigned by the Chief Internal Auditor.
• Perform internal audits of areas assigned, including IT general controls and pre-implementation audits.
• Document procedures and follow up on exceptions with process owners.
• Conclude and report on audits; draft findings; discuss with management; provide recommendations.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by the Chief Internal Auditor.
